Community Outreach

The following services are provided to the community

  • Rent is paid for one of our children whose mother is blind and alone.
  • Formula is bought each day for an infant that was born to one of our teenage girls.
  • Assist parents living with HIV/AIDS to get antiretroviral drugs.
  • Provide training to the community on hygiene.
  • On a case by case basis, children are sent to local clinics and hospitals to deal with their medical problems.

Future intention of Safe House Ethiopia is to establish schools in other communities, bring electricity in primitive villages, dig wells in areas where women walk an hour each day to fetch water for their family.

The goal of Safe House Ethiopia is to insure that after high school every one of our kids either continues their education in university or receives vocational training that would ultimately lead them to gain full employment.

At Safe House, no child is left behind…each of them is sustained in a program until they are well on their way to independence.
